Fun Run, Boots and Brews
Description
The annual Boots and Brews 5K celebrates the past and future of Freeport—a gem of Maine’s coast!
From its shoemaking past (in addition to L. L. Bean, Freeport was once home to over 30 shoe and boot factories!) to its current status as a craft beer destination, Freeport has so many stories to tell.
Join us for a 5K downtown, stick around to sample brews from across town (featuring Brickyard Hollow, Goodfire Brewing, Gritty McDuff’s, Maine Beer Company, and Mast Landing Brewing), and get outdoors in Freeport, Maine!
***ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 11:59 PM on Wednesday, May 15th***
If you miss online registration you may register in person at our packet pickup event on Friday, May 17th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the L.L. Bean Flagship Store or on the morning of the race at 23 Depot St. Freeport.
What You Get
- All registrants will receive a Freeport Swag Bag and commemorative race sticker
- Runners under 21 will receive a free meal voucher for the Finish Line cookout.
- Runners 21+ receive a meal voucher and access to beer provided by our Sponsoring Brewers
- The first 50 registrants will receive a Boots and Brews Pint Glass
- The first 200 registrants will receive a commemorative t-shirt
Event Details
All net proceeds support the Greater Freeport Chamber of Commerce, a 501 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and connecting local business owners in Freeport, and surrounding communities.
Divisions and Prizes
Male and female divisions for:
- 19 & Under
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60-69
- 70-79
- 80 & up
The overall top three male finishers and top three female finishers will win iconic L. L. Bean boots (or equivalent store credit)! Top 2 finishers of both genders in each age division will receive prizes.
Grab your complimentary beers and head on over to the bbq area for some tasty bites hot off the grill.
We will be on the lookout for the runners with the most spirit so bring your energy and your best outfit and you just may receive our Spirit Award!
